William Robert Christiana

William Robert Christiana, 79, of Middle Rd., Mt Marion, NY, died Friday, August 22, 2008 at his residence. He was born September 4, 1928 in Hudson, NY to the late Rev. Harry E. and Florence Britt Christiana. He was married to Janet "Wendy" (Wendland) Christiana, they wed October 30, 1949 in Napanoch, NY.

He graduated from Fultonville High School, Fultonville, NY class of 1945. He attended Syracuse University and then went to work for GE in Schenectady. Mr. Christiana had been a mechanical engineer for IBM of Kingston for 37 years until his retirement in 1990. He belonged to the Saugerties Fish & Game Club, the Blue Katz Men's Club and the Ulster County Pistol League. He was a member of the IBM Quarter Century Club, he had been active in Boy Scouts teaching various skills.

In addition to his wife he is survived by his son Paul R. Christiana and his wife Deborah, Kingston, NY, son James E. Christiana and his wife Lesley, San Diego, CA, Joseph C. Christiana and his wife Valerie, Bay Minnette, AL, son John D. Christiana and his wife Carol, Clifton Park, NY, daughter Pamela J. Christiana, Mt. Marion, NY. Daughter in law Deborah Christiana of Mammoth Lakes, CA. brother David Christiana of Ulster Park, grandchildren Jon, Nicole, Stephanie, Paul, Nathaniel and T.J.
Predeceased by son Thomas N. Christiana and a sister Margaret Colvin.
