William Blue

William "Bird/Blue'' Blue, 60, of Kingston, NY, died Tuesday, September 27, 2011 at the Kingston Hospital. He was born September 24, 1951 in Buena Vista, GA to the late Mary (Wright) Dassie. William grew up in Kingston, NY and spent time living in Poughkeepsie, NY and most recently, Las Vegas, Nevada.




William was employed as a Mover for Bekins Van Lines and Smith Avenue Movers in Kingston, N.Y.




Blue enjoyed being with his family, fishing and biking.




William is survived by his sons; Xanadou Blue of Kingston, NY and William O. Blue of Palmdale, CA. William is also survived by his family, sisters: Patricia Blue of the Bronx, NY and Ossie M. Dassie of Kingston, NY and brothers: Matthew Blue, Rick Dassie and Robin (Cassandra) Dassie, all of Kingston, NY. 5 Grandchildren, William, Orlando, Sophia, Anthony and Michaela and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. William was predeceased by his brothers: Henry Dassie and Edward Dassie.




Entrusted to the care of Luke Keyser, Keyser Funeral Service, Inc., 326 Albany Avenue, Kingston, NY 12401 where friends may call on Monday from 10 am to 12 pm. Services will follow at 12pm with the burial taking place at Wiltwyck Cemetery, Kingston.
