Wayne F. Handschuh, 55, of Lucas Ave. Extension, Kingston, NY, died Friday, April 9, 2010 at his residence after a lengthy illness. He was born May 11, 1954 in Kingston to the late Wilhelm and Ann (Haller) Handschuh.
He was the husband of Judith M. (Sutton) Handschuh they wed in June of 1975. They renewed their vows on August 21, 1999.
Wayne had been the owner of Yorkshire Roofing & Siding and Hudson Valley Roofing & Siding in Kingston, he had been in sales for over 34. He was a member of the Trinity Evengelical Lutheran Church and had attended the Binnewater Union Free Chapel. He enjoyed fishing, antiques, working with computers, a musician; he loved to play the guitar, Lake George in the summer and taking long Sunday afternoon drives with his family
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children Jessica Handschuh of Ancramdale, NY, Amanda Jansen and her husband Harry Jansen of Olivebridge, Wayne Handschuh, Jr., of Ancramdale, NY, Susanne McGuire and her husband Brad McGuire of Charles Town, WV. and Julian Handschuh of Kingston, brothers Robert Handschuh of Port Ewen, and William Handschuh of Port Ewen and the latte Joan Cole, 12 grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
Entrusted to the care of the Keyser Funeral Service, Inc., 326 Albany Avenue, Kingston. Friends may call on Monday from 1 - 2 pm. The service will be held on Monday at 2:00 pm. The Rev. Albert Scholfield, Jr., officiating. Burial in Hurley Cemetery, Hurley. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Judith Handschuh.
