Warren Scott Bruce, Sr., 66, of Whittier, died Friday, May 30, 2008 at his residence after a short illness. He was born January 19, 1942 in NYC, to the late Warren E. Sr. and Mary Markos Bruce.
For 40 years he had worked at the Waldorf - Astoria Hotel in NYC, he moved to the Catskill region and opened a restaurant in Saugerties "The Pier 62" with his brother Robert Bruce. He also owned and operated a wine store in Port Ewen, the "Wineseller" also with his brother Robert. Additionally he worked as a home caregiver for handicapped men through the New York State Taconic DDSO. After his retirement, he worked at Sam's Club.
He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 47 years Gail Bruce, they were married January 10, 1961 in NYC., his sons Warren S. Bruce, Jr.; NYC; Brian S. Bruce, NYC; Sisters, Lola Pusey, Salisbury, MD; Marietta Wells, Port Ewen; Brother, Henry P. White, Salisbury, MD; 5 Grandchildren, Several Nieces And Nephews, Predeceased by his brother, Robert Bruce, Sister, Nancy S. Allen.
Entrusted to the care of the Keyser Funeral Service, Inc., 326 Albany Avenue, Kingston, a memorial service will be held at a time to be announced.
