Warren Gus Dawson, Sr., born January 4th 1934 in Glasco, New York to the late Wilder and Mabel (Fitzgerald) Dawson, died at the age of 82 on March 23rd 2016.
Warren was a member of the Franklin Street AME Zion Church where he attended as a child. Several years ago, Warren gave himself to the Lord and confessed his sins and apologized to many people. He served in the US Army during the Korean War. Warren travelled a bit to Italy and Germany. He was a hard worker having worked several jobs at the Mushroom Plant; Kingston Brick Yard; Pilgrim Furniture Store and Honda of Kingston on Broadway where he worked for over 25 years. Warren also had a side business detailing cars in his free time.
Warren leaves behind his siblings, Jacqueline Dawson Bryant, and Wilder "Junie" Dawson. Warren also leaves behind 5 young men and 11 young women, Darlene, Warren Jr, Angelina, Sheldon, Lisa, Shawanda, Andrea, Linda, Olga, Jeffrey, Michelle, Cheryl, Juanita, Damon, Alicia, and Michael, as well as a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, step children, cousins, nieces, and nephews. Warren is at peace and his heart smiling knowing we are all together!
Warren is traveling home to be with the Lord where he will be reunited with his family in heaven which include, his wife, Gladys, his daughters, Deborah Dawson, and Jodine Watson, and his siblings, Joan Dawson Boler Cummings, Mary Louise Dawson Bruin, and Howard Dawson.
Entrusted to the care of Keyser Funeral & Cremation Service, Kingston. Friends and family may visit on Saturday April 2nd at AME Zion Church of Kingston, 26 Franklin St., Kingston, NY 12401 from 10am to 11am with the service starting at 11am.
