Walter Gemmell

Walter ''Griz'' Gemmell, III, 60, of Elmendorf St., Kingston, passed unexpectedly Wednesday, March 6, 2013 at Kingston Hospital. He was born August 6, 1952 in Kingston, the son of the late Walter II and Dolores Ennist Gemmell.




He had been the husband of Juanita Gemmell and Debra Banks. He was a graduate of Kingston High School, prior to his disability he had worked for Yorkshire Windows, Kingston.




He is survived by his loving family, children, Walter Gemmell, IV, Joseph Gemmell, Shaun Gemmell, Jacqueline Banks, Michael Banks and Joseph Banks, 8 grandchildren, sisters Susan Gemmell and Mary Fortin, several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother Joseph Gemmell




Griz enjoyed all kinds of sports, walking, watching the Giants and the Mets and spending time with his grandchildren.




Entrusted to the care of the Keyser Funeral & Cremation Service, 326 Albany Avenue, Kingston, Friends may call on Monday from 10-12. The service will be at 12. Burial in St. Mary's Cemetery, Kingston. Light a candle in memory of Griz at www.keyserfuneralservice.com .
