Walter F. Emrich, 63 of Woodstock died Friday, March 6, 2020 at HealthAlliance Hospital Broadway Campus.
Walter was born May 12, 1956 in Mt. Kisco, NY to the late Joseph and Marian Emrich.
Walter attended the Emma Wygant School and BOCES until he was 21. He was retired from the ARC of Ulster-Greene Day Program at the Pecora Center. Walter had the sweetest smile, loved giving kisses, watching old TV shows and playing musical instruments.
Walter is survived by two sisters, Lynn Scott of Highland, Susan Emrich of Kingston, a brother David Emrich and his wife Sandra of Kingston, a sister-in-law Judith Emrich of W.Shokan, nephews George, Christopher, Brian, Andrew and Charles, a niece Katherine, grandnephews, Trent, Benjamin, Owen, Logan and Trevor. Walter is survived by his many friends of the ARC Mid-Hudson and his second family at Woodstock House.
Walter was predeceased by two brothers Dennis Emrich and Joseph Emrich, a nephew Joseph Emrich and his brother-in-law George Scott.
Walter will be reposing at the Simpson-Hammerl Funeral Home, 411 Albany Ave on Tuesday from 10:00- 11:00 AM.
A Funeral Service will be held at the funeral home at 11:00 AM.
Interment will follow in Hurley Cemetery.
