Virginia Robinson

Virginia B. Robinson, 101, of Ulster Park, NY, passed away on October 19, 2023. Virginia was born August 4,1922 in Port Ewen, NY, daughter of the late Fred and Anna (Schweigel) Spinnenweber. She was a graduate of Kingston High School, Class of 1941. After High School she married Cleon D. Robinson, who passed away on June 16, 2000.

Virginia worked as a bus driver for Perry Bus. She was a lifelong resident of Port Ewen, she was very active in community affairs for many years, working with the town boards and the school boards. She was a scout leader, an instructor for Tri-Chem, a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, she was president of the # 13 grade school, and was very active with the Esopus senior citizens group.

Virginia played Mrs. Claus in the annual parade and was very active in the Manen and Damen Choir, also very active in raising items for the troops and raising money for the Wounded Warriors. 

Virginia is survived by her children, Virginia A. Feddes of Ruby, Cleon D. Robinson, II and his wife Laura of Ulster Park, Richard J. Robinson of Texas, Frederick L. Robinson and his wife Patricia of Ulster Park, and John J. Robinson and his wife Katherine of Port Ewen, as well as 22 grandchildren, many great grandchildren, several great great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband and parents, she is predeceased by her children, Robert C. Robinson, Kathleen Robinson Harper, her grandson, Jeffrey Robinson, her siblings, Ruth Spinnenweber, John F. Spinnenweber, Frederick Spinnenweber, and Kathleen Van Tassel, as well as her son in law, Gary Feddes.  

Arrangement entrusted to the care of Keyser Funeral & Cremation Service, 216 Broadway, Port Ewen, NY 12446 where family and friends may visit on Sunday November 12, 2023 from 1pm to 4pm with the funeral service taking place at 4pm.
