Virginia M. Bishop

June 18, 1947 — November 5, 2012

Virginia M. (Plonski) Bishop, 65, of Ulster Park, passed away Monday, November 5, 2012 at Benedictine Hospital in Kingston. She was born June 18, 1947 in Bloomington to the late John and Pauline Plonski. She was married to Charles Bishop on November 15th 1986. Charles passed away on November 11th 2005.

Virginia was a Kingston High School Graduate Class of 1965. She worked as a Telephone Operator for Verizon for many years until her retirement. She later worked for Charles River Laboratories for several years. She was an active member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Kingston. Virginia enjoyed traveling, camping and most of all spending time with her family, especially the time she had with her baby granddaughter Charlie Kay.

She is survived by her children, Chad Plonski of Bloomington, Tammy Cashara of Saugerties, Charles Bishop of Kerhonkson, 4 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her parents and husband she is predeceased by her siblings, Barbara Plonski and John Plonski Jr.

Entrusted to the care of Luke Keyser of A. Carr & Son Funeral Home, 65 Lucas Ave, Kingston, where friends may call on Thursday from 2-4 & 7-9pm. Services will be held on Friday at 11am at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Mt. Marion Cemetery, Mt. Marion, NY.
