Kingston – Vincent J. Nardi, 73, of Henry Street died Wednesday, August 20, 2003 at Benedictine Hospital. He was born in East Kingston on April 24, 1930, a son of the late Frank J. and Catherine Ferraro Nardi. A lifelong area resident, Mr. Nardi served in the US Marine Corps during the Korea Conflict. For over 25 years Mr. Nardi worked at the former Siller Beef, Kingston. He then worked for the NYS Department of Transportation for ten years. A parishioner of St. Joseph’s Church, he was a member of the American Legion Post 150 and the Loyal Order of Moose. Surviving are two sisters Rosemarie Porter of Salina, Kansas and Lucy Dougherty of Kingston; two brothers Frank Nardi Jr. of Port St. Lucie, Florida and Louis Nardi of Portsmouth, NH; several nieces and nephews. Friends may visit the funeral home Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM. The funeral procession will form on Monday at 9:15 AM from the Simpson – Gaus Funeral Home, 411 Albany Ave. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Joseph’s Church at 10:00 AM. Interment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
