Vincent J. “Junie” LaRocca, Sr., died at his home on Monday, March 7, 2005. He was 75.
A native and lifelong East Kingston resident, Mr. LaRocca was born on February 6, 1930, one of 11 children born to the late James and Frances Sisco LaRocca.
Mr. LaRocca was a US Navy veteran, and for many years worked for the Teamsters Local 445 doing construction throughout Ulster county and the surrounding area.
A former Treasurer of the East Kingston Volunteer Fire Department, Mr. LaRocca was also a lifelong parishioner of St. Colman’s Church.
Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Lorraine Gardeski LaRocca; three daughters Loreen Palmer of Yorkville, NY, Jolene LaRocca of Rochester, NY and Donna Gulotty of Jupiter, FL; one son Vincent J. LaRocca, Jr. of Santa Barbara, CA, cherished and adored grandfather of Stefanie, Joanna, and Joseph Vincent Palmer, and Olivia and Sophia Gulotty, and many nieces and nephews.
Per Mr. LaRocca’s request, there will be a Memorial Mass celebrated by Father John McGuire at St. Coleman’s Roman Catholic Church in East Kingston at the end of May.

His wife, children, and grandchildren would especially like to thank the wonderful staff of Kingston Hospital, Ten Broeck Commons, and Hospice, Inc. as well as the rest of his family and friends for all of their outstanding care, compassion, and support throughout the years.
