Vincent Calcagno

Vincent Calcagno, Sr., 84, formerly of Stone Ridge, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 23, 2013 at home with his family. He was born September 3, 1928 in Aidone, Sicily to the late Giuseppe and Ignazia (DiNaso) Calcagno.

He was married to Rose (DiNaso) Calcagno, Rose passed away in 2008. Vincent was the owner of The Original Mama Rose's in Rosendale, NY. He was a parishioner of St. Joseph's RC Church in Kingston.

Vincent is survived by his children, Joseph Calcagno, Inez Elkins, Benny Calcagno and Vincent Calcagno Jr. He is also survived by his siblings, Gaetano Calcagno, Giuseppina Aleo, Paul Calcagno and Lucy Giambona, as well as 11 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife Rose, he is predeceased by his siblings, Salvatore Calcagno, Lorenza Fuoco and Carmela Valguarnera.

Entrusted to the care of Luke Keyser of Keyser Funeral & Cremation Service, 326 Albany Ave., Kingston, where friends and family may call on Monday from 1-3 & 6-9pm. The funeral procession will form on Tuesday at 9am at the funeral home and proceed to St. Josephs RC Church where at 10am a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Burial will follow in Montrepose Cemetery, Kingston.
