Victoria J. Hull of Orlando St., Town of Ulster surrendered to a heroic battle with lung cancer on Wednesday, January 14, 2009 at Benedictine Hospital. She was 68.
She was born in Berlin, NY on May 22, 1940 a daughter of the late Floyd and Mabel Melanson Amidon. Mrs. Hull married Robert Hull on March 8, 1956. They moved to this area in 1961.
A longtime area resident, for many years Mrs. Hull worked as a health aide. She was an avid Bingo player, loved camping and crocheting.
Two brothers Floyd and Rodney Amidon, two sisters Midora Halbert and Theresa Jansen all died previously. Surviving, in addition to her husband of 53 years, Robert Hull, are three daughters Wendy Coles and her husband Jeffrey of Town of Ulster, Robin Hull of Troy, Theresa Holmes and her husband James of St. Augustine, Florida; two sons Donald Hull of St. Augustine, Florida and Lewis Hull and his wife Sabrina of Lake Katrine; one sister Donna Goodermot of Tennessee; one brother David Amidon of Canton, Ohio; ten grandchildren Tobias Lee of Tillson, Ed Scott of Binghampton, Travis Coles of Florida, Kayla Gibson and her husband Brad of Saugerties, Alexis Hull of Troy, Brittany Hull of Troy, Cari Hull and Buddy Hull both of Town of Ulster; Will Hull and Samantha Hull, both of Lake Katrine; three great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
A gathering of family and friends will be conducted on Friday from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home at 7:00 p.m. Cremation was in Poughkeepsie Rural Cemetery.
