Victor B. Marcotte

Victor ''Burt'' B. Marcotte, Jr., 76, of East Chester Street, Kingston, NY, died Saturday, June 6, 2009 at Westchester Medical Center, Valhalla, NY. He was born December 3, 1932 in Manchester, NH to the late Victor B. and Lura C. (Blanchard) Marcotte. He was the husband of Polly (Woodard) Marcotte, they wed on October 3rd, 1953.

Burt was a veteran of the Korean War, having served from 1953 to 1955 in the US Army, he then served for 10 years in the Army reserve. Burt was retired from White Consolidated, Inc. as a service representative for Frigidaire, after his retirement he worked part time at Ray's Appliance in Catskill, NY. He was a member of the Mid Hudson Computer Group, he loved golf, hunting, fishing, reading and time with family.

In addition to his wife Polly, he is survived by his son Larry D. Marcotte, Houston, TX, sisters Barbara Harris, Exeter, NH, Marylou Purpura, Pooler, GA, brother Dan Marcotte, Brookline, NH, several nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service will be held at the St. Remy Reformed Church on Thursday at 10 a.m., the Rev. Dr. David M. Brechter, officiating.

Burial in St. Remy Rural Cemetery, with military honors provided by Joyce Schirick Post # 1386 VFW.
