Valri C. Simmons

Valri C. Simmons, 62, of Lynette Blvd, Kingston, NY, died Wednesday, January 30, 2013 at Westchester Medical Center, Valhalla, NY. She was born October 2, 1950 in Kingston, NY to the late Warren and Gloria Molyneaux Simmons.
Valri received a BA from the State University College at Fredonia, NY, a Master's degree from the State University College at Buffalo, NY and Certificate in Educational Administration from the State University College at Fredonia, NY.
She taught for eight years in Western New York and twenty-four years as a Special Education teacher at Miller Junior High School in Kingston, NY.
Retiring in 2006, she continued her interests in books, fitness classes, walking, vacationing in Cape Cod and keeping in close contact with a wide circle of friends and family. She was a compassionate friend to cats and other animals and loved dancing to her husband's band.
In addition to her husband, Francis Palmieri, she is survived by several cousins and her godchild Rachel Coffey .
Calling hours will be at A. Carr & Son Funeral Home, 65 Lucas Ave, on Saturday, February 2nd from 2 to 4 pm and from 6 to 8 pm. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, February 3rd at the Funeral Home at 10 am.
