Tommie Barnes, Jr.

Tommie Louis Barnes, Jr., the beloved son of the late Mary Louise Knox and Tommie Louis Barnes, Sr. was born on October 19, 1970, in Kingston, NY.  

On December 26, 2023, Tommie Louis Barnes, Jr. was called home to be with the Lord and Savior, surrounded by his loving family. Tommie worked for Color Page in Kingston, as the Shipping and Receiving Supervisor. Tommie also known as “Junior”, “JR” or “JuneBug” was a vibrant and warming soul that lit up any room he walked into. Known for his adulterated jokes, JR would instantly have everyone around him in tears from laughter and absorbed in his comical, yet passionate personality. Junior took on the term “it takes a village” when it came to his family and his friends. While being a devoted father to his girls, Junior also took on the parental role for several of his nieces and nephews giving him the quickly labeled “favorite uncle” title. His devotion for sports would be displayed on his everyday attire and even on his cars. Junior was a diehard New York Giants Fan and New York Yankees fan. Junior loved to focus on the detailing of his cars, playing with his dogs and enjoying his time with his family and friends.   

Jr was predeceased by his brothers, Frank Ector and Tommie Rydell Parker, his cousin, Lisa Bowens, and his aunt, Virgia May Carpenter.  

Jr's cheerful and cherished memory will live in the lives of his Fiancée Darlene Coddington; Daughters Aiyana Barnes (Asia Vaughan) and Jasmine Barnes (Mother- Lisa Burgos), Ebony Davis (mother-Darlene Coddington) grandchildren Derion Barnes, Jayceon Lancaster, Anasia Johnson, and Lamont Keaton Jr; his Aunt Margaret Davis(Earl Davis ) his sisters; Evelyn Barnes, Phyllis Barnes, Pearlie Ewell,  Diane Jordan, Hope Barnes, Ivory Riley his brothers; Raymond Gay, Bobby Mason and Lawrence Barnes, Hassan Knox. Nephews:  Donte’ Timbrouck, (Melissa Timbrouck) Phillip Keith (Marissa Keith), Rayshon Williams, DaJimon and Darian Brissett, Tommie Parker, Brandon Parker, Teddy Ector, Frank Ector Jr., Jesse Ector Nieces:  Tiasha Haughton-Pettigrew (Mario PettiGrew), Sekitha Williams, Latricia Gay, Latoya Hipko (Adam Hipko), Frances Ector, Arnitha Ector Cousins:  Larry Carpenter (Nona Carpenter) Vivian Mason, Sylvia Barnes-Vetetis (Mark Vetetis), Vanilla Pebbles, Ethel Davis, Earl Davis Jr. And a host of cousins, nieces and nephews throughout New York, Virginia and North Carolina.
