Timothy J. Benton

Timothy John Benton, 54 of Port Ewen died Saturday September 10, 2011 at the Kingston Hospital.

Born March 19, 1957 in Kingston, NY. He was the son of the late John H. and Barbara E. Webster Benton.
Timothy was a lifelong resident of Port Ewen.

He was employed by Dyno Nobel for over 25 years and for several years at Raymour and Flanigan.
He was an avid gardener and enjoyed collecting elephant figurines.

Timothy is survived by his wife Sharon and son Robert of Port Ewen,
his sister and brother-in-law Bonnie and James Simmons of Lake Katrine.
He was the uncle of Jennifer and Daniel Lombardo of Wappingers Falls, David and Brittany Simmons of Lake Katrine, Nephew of Ruth Doyle of Port Ewen, William and Josephine Webster of Port Ewen, Shirley and Robert DeLuca, Grace Starmer, Ellen Starmer and Charles Benton all of North Carolina, Janet and Lance Thorne of Catskill.
He will be missed by his many cousins.

Friends and family may call at Keyser Funeral Home in Port Ewen this Wednesday, September 14th from 3-5pm.
A memorial service will be held at 5 pm, with Pastor James B. Childs officiating.

Burial will take place at the Riverview Cemetery at a later date.
