Kingston - Timothy Harkins of Amsterdam Ave. died Friday, February 19, 2016 at Community Hospice, St. Peter's Hospital in Albany. He was 57. He was born in Poughkeepsie, a son of the late Joseph and Cathleen Craney Harkins. He was the owner of Tim Harkins Plumbing and Heating. Tim was a long time parishioner of St. Catherine Laboure Church. He was an army veteran, serving from 1975 - 1978. He enjoyed riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycle and attending vintage car shows. He was a fan of the Yankees and Giants and he played in the Kingston Dart League. His wife, Cynthia Martin Harkins died March 23, 2015. Surviving is his son, Devin Harkins of Kingston; three brothers, Michael Harkins and his wife Mary Jo of Ruby; Robert Harkins of Kingston; Patrick Harkins and his wife Donna of Gardner, MA; one sister, Margaret Harkins of Kingston and his mother-in-law, Mary Ella Martin. Many nieces and nephews also survive. A brother, Peter Harkins and his sister-in-law, Linda Harkins died previously. Entrusted to the care of Keyser Funeral & Cremation Service, 326 Albany Ave., Kingston where friends will be received on Tuesday from 2 - 6 PM. A funeral procession will form on Wednesday, 9:00 AM and process to St. Catherine Laboure Church in Lake Katrine where a funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 AM.
