Thomas W. Aycock, 90, of Kingston, NY, passed away Friday, March 16, 2018. He was born July 2, 1927 in Youngstown, OH to the late Nathaniel Macon Aycock and Olive Wriggins Aycock.
Tom served in the US Navy during World War II. He later married Eleanor Flannery, they wed on September 3, in Bronxville, NY. Eleanor passed away on September 24, 2012. He was a graduate of Roosevelt High School in Yonkers, Lafayette College where he received his Bachelor's Degree, and Marist College where he received his Master's Degree. He worked for many years as a Chemical Engineer at IBM before retiring in 1991. He was a parishioner of St. Joseph's RC Church in Kingston.
Tom is survived by his daughter, Elizabeth "Lisa" Jones of Kingston, his sister's in law, Patricia Flannery Foster of FL, and Anne Spencer Flannery of Bronxville, as well as 24 nieces and nephews and spouses, and 30 great nieces and nephews and spouses. In addition to his wife and parents he is predeceased by his siblings, Nathaniel Aycock and Elizabeth Deitsch.
Entrusted to the care of Keyser Funeral & Cremation Service, 326 Albany Ave., Kingston, where family and friends may visit on Thursday March 22 from 10:30am to 12:30pm. The procession will form at 12:30pm and proceed to St. Joseph's RC Church, 242 Wall St., Kingston, where at 1pm a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated.
