Thomas M McNally, age 88, of South East Eagle Ave, Hobe Sound, Florida, formerly of Ruby and West Hurley, died Monday, March 3, 2008 at Treasure Coast Hospice Of Kay Madeira, Stuart, Florida.
Mr. McNally was born March 26, 1919 at NYC, the son of the late Matthew J. and Mary S. Messinger McNally. He married Loretta Rose McNally on October 2, 1943 in New YorK City.
He served in the Army during World War II, European Theater of Operations, participated In The Following Battles And Campaigns: Ardennes, Central Europe, Normandy, Northern France, & Rhineland. He Recieved The Following Decorations And Citations: American Defense Service Medal, European-African-Middle Eastern Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal, American Campaign Medal, & WWII Victory Medal
He had been employed by IBM Kingston as a Assembly Worker until his retirement in 1973.
Mr. McNally was a communicant of St. Joseph's RC Church, he was Past Commisioner & Assistant Chief of the West Hurley Fire Dept. Life member of Joyce Schirick Post # 1386 VFW, and had served on the board of Montrepose Cemetery for 20 years.
In addition to his wife Loretta McNally, one daughter: Marletta Ann And Husband Clark Bundy of Hope Sound, FL and one son: Thomas A McNally and his wife Belinda of Kingston, NY
Brother of Lewis McNally of West Hurley, NY and the late Robert McNally, 4 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews
The procession will form at Keyser Funeral Service, 326 Albany Ave., Kingston, on Saturday at 9:15 am and proceed to St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, where at 10 am a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. The family will receive their friends on Friday from 7-9 p.m. at Keyser Funeral Service, Kingston
Burial will be in Montrepose Cemetery with full military honors provided by Joyce Schirick Post # 1386 VFW .
