Theodora Libbos

Theodora ''Teddy'' Libbos, 92, of Oveido, FL, formerly of St. Remy, passed away Sunday December 14, 2014 at home. She was born August 26, 1922 in Winterswijk, Holland to the late Abraham and Gesina (Hoek) deLeeuw. She was married to Frederick Libbos. Frederick passed away on September 12, 1972.


Teddy graduated from Long Island College Hospital and later Ulster County Community College. She worked as a Registered Nurse for the Ulster County Health Department for many years. She was a member of the St. Remy Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary.


Teddy is survived by her children; Judith Kelley and her husband Ed of Oveido, FL, Ginger Gallagher and her husband Robert of Kingston, Tom Libbos and his wife Sue of Ware, MA, and John Libbos of St. Clair Shores, MI, her grandchildren, Bill and Glen Kelley, Tracey Farrell, Kari Dimotta, Jill Brulé, and Abraham, Thea, and Ali Libbos. She is also survived by 12 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.


Entrusted to the care of Luke Keyser of A. Carr & Son Funeral Home, 65 Lucas Ave., Kingston, where friends and family may visit on Saturday January 10th from 11am to 1pm with the funeral service starting at 1pm. Burial will follow in St. Remy Cemetery.
