Terrance O'Leary

Terrance O'Leary, 52, of Kingston, passed away Tuesday, February 4, 2014 at home with his family by his side. He was born July 26, 1961 in Kingston, to Marie O'Leary and the late Thomas O'Leary. He was married to Michelle (Terwilliger) O'Leary.


He served his country in the US Army and during that time guarded the Berlin Wall in Germany until his honorable discharge. Terrance wrangled and trained Mustang Horses in Colorado. Later in his life teaching his daughters to ride horses and going on long rides through the mountains with them was one of his greatest pleasures. He valued being a father to his daughters Lindsey and Madison O'Leary above all things. Family always came first for Terry, especially his girls.




He loved nature, the mountains and his home in the Hudson Valley. He enjoyed playing golf with his brothers and absolutely loved riding motorcycles. Terrance worked as an electrician for Five Star Electric in New York City and was a member of the Union Local 3. He was a 9/11 survivor and true New Yorker.




In addition to his wife and his mother, he is survived by his daughters, his brothers Matthew O'Leary and Thomas O'Leary, his sisters Pat Davern, Amy Schabot, Ellen Glace, Rose LaBarge, many nieces and nephews and good friends.




Entrusted to the care of Luke Keyser of A. Carr & Son Funeral Home, 65 Lucas Ave, Kingston, where friends may visit on Saturday February 15th from 1pm to 5pm. A service of remembrance will take place at 5pm. A memorial Mass will be held on Monday February 17th at 10am at St. Joseph's RC Church, 242 Wall St., Kingston.
