Teresa Melnik

Teresa J. Melnik, 84, of Kingston, died Monday, November 7, 2016 at HealthAlliance Hospital Broadway Campus. Born in Kingston, she was the daughter of the late Michael & Angelina Jordan DeCicco. Teresa enjoyed cooking and tending to her and Stash's home. Her home was her castle. She was a longtime parishioner of Immaculate Conception Church and was involved with the Adoration Chapel there. Teresa is survived by her husband of 61 years, Stanley F. Melnik of Kingston, whom she married on October 30, 1955 at St. Mary's Church. Many nieces and nephews also survive. In addition to her parents, Teresa was predeceased by six sisters, Rose Arace, Lena Di Micco, Mary Di Micco, Margaret Candello, Florence Heaney and Laura Brown. Teresa will be reposing at the Simpson-Gaus Funeral Home, 411 Albany Ave. on Thursday, November 10, 2016 from 3-7 PM. The funeral procession will form from the funeral home on Friday at 9:00 AM. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 AM at Immaculate Conception Church. Interment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery. The family requests that memorial donations be made to Immaculate Conception Church, 467 Delaware Ave, Kingston, NY 12401.
