Terence J. Gunn

Terence (Terry) Gunn, died November 8, 2010 at the Focolare community in Hyde Park, NY, where he resided for the past three and a half years. He was 62. Terry was born in Hastings, New Zealand, son of the late William Rose and Miriam Grace Gunn. He met the Focolare in 1970 and became a consecrated member in 1974. Terry served the Focolare in various countries, and for many years in positions of leadership, in Australia, Canada, and since 2007 in the US. He was ordained a Catholic priest at the service of the Focolare on December 3, 2005. He is survived by his brothers Martin and Gerard, his sisters Rosalie McNeil and Elizabeth Karl, and 14 nieces and nephews. The viewing will be on Friday Nov. 12 from 9 AM to 9 PM, and Saturday Nov. 13 from 9 to 10:00 AM at Our Lady of the Light Chapel, Mariapolis Luminosa, Hyde Park. Mass of Resurrection will follow at 11 AM Sat. Nov. 13 in the Chiara Lubich Conference Center. Interment will be in Mariapolis Luminosa Cemetery.
