Sylvia Stanger

Sylvia Stanger, 97, of Brooklyn died Friday, December 20, 2013 at her home. Born in Kingston, she was a daughter of the late Harry & Minnie Lurie Isaacson.Sylvia is survived by two daughters, Nancy Tierstein and her husband Jerry of Brooklyn and Anita Miller of Bethpage, NY. Three grandchildren, two great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews also survive. In addition to her parents, Sylvia was predeceased by her husband, Louis Stanger and two sons, Joel and Gary Stanger. A Funeral Service will be conducted on Sunday, December 22, 2013 at the Simpson-Gaus Funeral Home, 411 Albany Ave. at 10:30 AM with Rabbi Yitzchok Hecht from Congregation Agudas Achim. Interment will follow in Montrepose Cemetery.
