Steven Allen

Steven Allen, 75, of Kingston, NY, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, October 7, 2024 at his home in Kingston. He was born on January 11, 1949 in Kingston, son of the late Ethan and Martha (Farrier) Allen. Steven was married to his wife of 55 years, Patricia M. Tiano.

He was a Kingston High School Graduate, Class of 1968 and later received his Bachelor's Degree from SUNY Albany. Steven served for many years in the Marines Corps and was deployed overseas in both Vietnam and Operation Desert Storm before his retirement at the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. He was the recipient of many medals including two Purple Hearts. He was a proud patriot and loved his country. 

He was a life member of the Joyce Schirick Post #1386 VFW and was a member of the Old Dutch Church where he served as an Elder. In his retirement he enjoyed spending time with family and friends, relaxing, being outside, gardening, and puttering around his house. 

Steven is survived by his wife, Patricia Allen of Kingston, his children, Jaimee Allen, Meghan Burke & her husband Patrick, and Seth Allen. He was a proud grandfather to Madison Burke, Reagan Allen-O’Sullivan, and Peyton Burke. His siblings are Elaine Wolf, Judi Brandt, Vestella Madison, Ethana Bosch, William Allen, Frank Allen, Tommy Beck, Linda Coddington, and Larry Allen; his sister in law, Lisa Gajdos and her husband Paul, his brother in law, John Tiano and his partner Nancy Colletta, as well as many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his siblings, Joan Martin, Ethan Allen, Jr., Robert Allen, and Debbie Golgoski.

Arrangements entrusted to Keyser Funeral & Cremation Service, 326 Albany Avenue, Kingston, NY 12401, where family and friends may visit on Sunday, October 13, 2024 from 2pm to 5pm. The funeral service will be held at 11am on Monday, October 14, 2024 at Old Dutch Church, 272 Wall St., Kingston, NY 12401. Burial will follow in Wiltwyck Cemetery, Kingston, NY.
