Stephen I. Fisher of Meads Mountain Road, Woodstock died Tuesday, January 3, 2006 in St. Peter's Hospital, Albany. He was 82.
He was born in New York City on June 29, 1923, a son of the late Morris and Pearl Myers Fisher. Mr. Fisher served in the US Army during WW II in the European Theater of Operations.
Upon returning from service he lived in New York City and Forest Hills, Queens. For over 50 years Mr. Fisher spent time at Meads Mountain Road. In 1985 he moved there from Scarsdale. Mr. Fisher also maintained an Albany residence.
He was the president and advertising executive at Newsvertising in New York City.
Surviving are his wife Marjorie Holdsworth Fisher; one son Micah L. Fisher of Woodstock, one daughter Judy P. Sadoff and her husband John of St. Louis, Missouri; one brother Herbert Fisher and his wife Sandra of Safety Harbor, Flordia; one grandson Maxwell Sadoff, one granddaughter Hana Sadoff, several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted on Friday at 12:00 PM at Simpson – Gaus Funeral Home, 411 Albany Ave., Kingston with Rabbi Tamar Crystal. Interment will be in Woodstock Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of choice.
