Sixta Valentin, 84, of Union St, Glasco, NY, died Tuesday, September 1, 2009 at Golden Hill Health Care Center, Kingston, NY. She was born May 3, 1925 in Vega Baja, Puerto Rico to the late Bernard and Sixta (Avieles) Valentin. She was the wife of the late Manuel Reyes. Sixta was retired from the Puerto Rico School District.

Mother of Nilds Ochoa, Glasco, NY, grandmother of Maximilliano Martinez III and his wife Chastity A. Martinez, Lillian Martinez and her partner Ronnie Welch, great grandmother of Valerie N., Jasmine M. and Brandon F. Welch, Sara Kalitowski, and Maximilliano IV, Alejandro C., Arrianna N., Isabella J. Martinez and Michael A. and Sirina L. Wiley, sister of Maria Maysonette, Lydia Crespo, Amelia Miranda, Santa Miranda, Elena Rivera and Roberto Valentin, .
