Silvia Stanganelli

Silvia Stanganelli of Butternut Knolls, West Shokan, died Saturday, July 16, 2011 at Ferncliff Nursing Home. She was 85. She was born in Brooklyn, a daughter of the late Giacomo and Anna Marie Tomaselli. Formerly of Brooklyn, Silvia worked in New York City for several diamond jewelers and as a secretary for attorneys. She moved to this area in the 1980's from Bellerose, Queens. Her husband of 49 years, Lucian Stanganelli, died February 5, 2002. Beloved mother of the late John Stanganelli and the late Linda Mitchell; sister of Olivia Santaserio; grandmother of Alyxandra Mitchell, Jeffery and Jennifer Zambrana. Graveside services will be conducted at St. Mary's Cemetery on Thursday at 12:00.
