Sherry Pinkus

Sherry Pinkus formerly of Main St., Kingston died Monday, September 19, 2005 at her residence in West Hartford. She was 92. She was born in Poland on August 15, 1913, a daughter of the late Isidor and Rachel Blut Shames. A longtime Kingston resident, for 26 years Mrs. Pinkus was a business partner at Kingston Modern Service with her husband, Harold. She retired in 1971. A member of Congregation Ahavath Israel, Mrs. Pinkus was a member of the Sisterhood. Her husband Harold Pinkus died November 14, 1971; two brothers Lewis and Samuel Shames and one sister Jean Saks all died previously Surviving are one daughter Anita Tarallo and her husband Sebastian of Longmeadow, MA; one son Allen Pinkus of Sewickley, PA; two granddaughters Robyn and Rebecca; several nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be conducted on Wednesday at 12:00 at Simpson – Gaus Funeral Home, 411 Albany Ave., Kingston, Rabbi Tamar Crystal of Congregation Ahavath Israel will officiate.
