Sherry Pinkus formerly of Main St., Kingston died Monday, September 19, 2005 at her residence in West Hartford. She was 92.
She was born in Poland on August 15, 1913, a daughter of the late Isidor and Rachel Blut Shames. A longtime Kingston resident, for 26 years Mrs. Pinkus was a business partner at Kingston Modern Service with her husband, Harold. She retired in 1971.
A member of Congregation Ahavath Israel, Mrs. Pinkus was a member of the Sisterhood.
Her husband Harold Pinkus died November 14, 1971; two brothers Lewis and Samuel Shames and one sister Jean Saks all died previously
Surviving are one daughter Anita Tarallo and her husband Sebastian of Longmeadow, MA; one son Allen Pinkus of Sewickley, PA; two granddaughters Robyn and Rebecca; several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be conducted on Wednesday at 12:00 at Simpson – Gaus Funeral Home, 411 Albany Ave., Kingston, Rabbi Tamar Crystal of Congregation Ahavath Israel will officiate. Interment will be in Montrepose Cemetery.
