Seymour Meyers

Seymour Meyers, 82, of Lake Katrine, died Wednesday, December 26, 2012 at Ten Broeck Commons Nursing Home. Born in Chicago, IL, he was the son of the late Samuel & Bertha Weingarden Meyers. In the 1960's, Seymour was active and generous to the civil rights cause, a true altruist. He appears under a pseudonym in the Bill Zimmerman book "Troublemaker". In more recent years Seymour lived in Ulster County working in the earlier year as a leather craftsman. Seymour enjoyed good food, good friends and gambling. Seymour is survived by his three brothers, twins, Norman and Lewis, and Eugene, all of California. In addition to friends in Chicago, Seymour will be greatly missed by his extended family here in the region. Services and interment will be private.
