Sarah Schwartz

Sarah Schwartz, 99, a longtime resident of Kingston, died, Saturday, May 6, 2017 at HealthAlliance Hospital Broadway Campus. Born in Brooklyn, she was a daughter of the late Harry & Jennie Yaroinsky Silverberg. Sarah co-owned Boston Cleaners & Driers with her brother until her retirement in 1982. She enjoyed attending socials, reading and watching television. Sarah is survived by her son, Alan L. Schwartz of Kingston and two nephews, Harry & Ira Nussbaum. In addition to her parents, Sarah was predeceased by her husband George Schwartz, who passed in 1960, a sister, Rose Nussbaum and a brother, George Silverberg. A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, May 9, 2017 at the Simpson-Gaus Funeral Home, 411 Albany Ave at 10:00 AM, with Cantor Robert Cohen of Congregation Emanuel, officiating. Interment will follow in Montrepose Cemetery. The family requests that memorial donations be made to the American Cancer Society, Memorial Processing, 6725 Lyons St., East Syracuse, NY 13057.
