Sarah E. Closi

Sarah E. Closi, of Leggs Mills Road, Lake Katrine died Monday, May 19, 2008 at Kingston Hospital. She was 73. She was born in Ellenville on May 21, 1934, a daughter of the late Chauncey Walker and Eva Caswell Walker Wilber. Mrs. Closi was raised in Lake Hill and moved to Lake Katrine in 1951. For many years she co-owned, with her husband Joseph "Walt" Closi, Closi's Greenhouses/Agway, Lake Katrine. She previously led the Ulster County 4H Club, Horse division. Her husband died March 7, 1997 and one brother Gordon Walker died previously. Surviving are two sons Donald Closi and his wife Tracy of Hillsdale, Wayne Closi and his significant other Kathy Olson of Lake Katrine; one daughter Pamela Closi and her boyfriend Brian Petruski of Kingston; one brother Vincent Walker of Connelly; one step sister Eva Jean Wilber of Kingston; ten grandchildren Samantha Alhstrom, Tammy Burch, Christine, Wayne and Stephanie Closi, David Adriance Jr., Morgan and Skyler Adriance; seven great grandchildren Jhaton King, Frankie and Mikalena Closi, Katlyn and Dakota Alhstrom, Kelton and Dillon Burch; many nieces and nephews. Reposing at the Simpson - Gaus Funeral Home, 411 Albany Ave. on Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home on Thursday at 12:00. Fr.
