Sara D. Lundquist Kissinger, 38, of Hurley, NY, died Wednesday morning, January 4, 2012 at the Kingston Hospital.
Sara was born in Norman, Oklahoma on December 31, 1973. With her family they lived in Norman for many years. A gifted athlete, she graduated from Norman High School, and was named to the Oklahoma All State Volleyball Team. She went to the University of Louisiana at Lafayette on a volleyball scholarship. In college she was active with the school ministry group. Sara was an avid Sooner and Yankee fan. She had been a service representative for Bell Telephone
Sara is survived by her loving family, her parents David W. and Jane Fine Lundquist of Hurley, NY, her son, Nathan Patrick Kissinger of Edmund, OK, a sister Megan E. Lundquist of Hurley and a brother Ryan D. Lundquist and his family of Norman, OK, her grandfather Emery W. Lundquist as well as several aunts, uncles and cousins of Fort Smith, AR.
The family will receive their friends at the Ocker- Putman Funeral Home, 4500 Jenny Lind Road,
Fort Smith, Arkansas on Sunday from 6 - 8 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the Immaculate Conception RC Church in Fort Smith, AR on Monday at 10:00 am. Burial in Holy Cross Cemetery, Fort Smith, AR. A memorial service will be held at St. Mark's RC church in Norman on Tuesday.
The family suggests in lieu of flowers memorial contributions be made to Health Alliance of the HudsonValley, 741 Grant Ave., Lake Katrine, NY 12449
