Sandra Hunter

Sandra Hunter, 76, of Hurley, was called home by God on November 13, 2017. She passed through that door we all must pass through alone and on her journey to heaven. Born in Elmira, NY on February 8, 1941, she was the daughter of Lynn and Arlene Warters.

Sandra graduated High School in Endicott, NY and later moved to Wappingers Falls, NY, and attended Dutchess Community College. She worked for many years as a bookkeeper and retired in 2002. She later moved to Hurley in 2011. Always quick with a smile or a joke, she was generous to a fault. She was an avid reader, enjoyed crossword puzzles and had a strong love of her family.

She leaves behind her husband Frank Hunter, her daughter, Teri Reinhartsen, two sons, Christopher and Keith Brundage, sister, Deborah Jeffery, brothers, James and Donald Warters and several grandchildren.

Entrusted to the care of Keyser Funeral & Cremation Service, 326 Albany Ave., Kingston, NY 12401. A graveside service and burial will be at Hurley Cemetery, Zandhoek Rd., Hurley, NY 12443 on Saturday November 18, 2017 at 1pm. The family requests memorial donations be made in her name to the Ulster County SPCA, 20 Wiedy Rd, Kingston, NY 12401.
