Sandra Edith Showers

Sandra ''Sandy'' E. Deane Showers, 72, of Kingston, passed Monday morning July 14, 2014 at Health Alliance Hospital, Mary's Ave. Campus, Kingston, after a courageous battle with lung cancer. She was born May 10, 1942 in Kingston, the daughter of the late Henry and Myra Maynard Deane.

Sandy was a graduate of Kingston High School, and was a faithful and dedicated employee of Benedictine Hospital, she had been the communications supervisor for 29 years until her retirement.

Sandy enjoyed traveling and was very devoted to her family and friends.

She is survived by her children, Peter D Showers, Jr. of Mt. Upton, NY, Karen A. McSpirit and her husband Dennis, of Kingston, Steven M. Showers of Albany and Joseph E.D. Showers and his wife Jaimie of Hiram, GA, 10 grandchildren, 1 great granddaughter and a brother H. Michael Deane and her dear friend Jack Donnelly.

Entrusted to the care of the Keyser Funeral & Cremation Service, 216 Broadway, Port Ewen, the family will receive her friends on Friday from 3 - 5 p.m. A Celebration of Life service will be at 5:00 p.m.



Inurnment in Riverview Cemetery, Port Ewen.
