Samuel Sansola of Village Green, Rhinebeck died Friday, January 27, 2012 at The Thompson House. He was 92.
He was born in the Bronx, a son of the late Isaac and Dora Sansola. A US Army veteran of WW II, he was stationed at Fort Ethan Allen, Burlington, VT. For 34 years Mr. Sansola worked at Salisbury Press in NYC as a printing trade employee. He retired in 1981 and moved from the Bronx to Rhinebeck in 1994 after the death of his beloved wife, Sylvia Kopelman Sansola.
A Life Member of the Workmen's Circle, Mr. Sansola belonged to the Jewish War Veterans since 1954. He was Assistant Troop Leader and Merit Badge Counselor from 1968 - 1972 for the Boys Scouts of America. Volunteered for Northern Dutchess Hospital.
Loving father of Steve Sansola of Rhinebeck, grandfather of Alora Sansola and Corey Sansola, brother of Shirley Maxon, the late Abraham I. Sansola, the late Katie Cohen and the late Julia Nudelman. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
A graveside service will be conducted at Cedar Park Cemetery, Westwood, NJ on Monday at 11:00 a.m. Rabbi Stephen Franklin will officiate.
