Lake Katrine- Salvatore A. D’Ippolito, formerly of Cora Terrace, Town of Ulster, died Sunday, January 25, 2004 at the Northeast Center for Special Care. He was 64.
He was born January 27, 1939 in Jersey City, NJ a son of the late Salvatore and Mildred BonGiovanni D’Ippolito.
Mr. D’Ippolito served in the U.S. Army from 1957 – 1960. He was employed by IBM in Kingston as a programmer until his retirement. He was the former owner of the Carriage House Motel, the Tall Cedars Motel and the Elm Diner. He was a member of the Reformed Church of Saugerties and the Masonic and Odd Fellows Lodges.
Surviving are one son, James D’Ippolito of the Town of Ulster, five daughters, Angie D’Ippolito of Tivoli, Anita Kruppa of Spring Lake, NC, Annette D’Ippolito, Roberta Garcia-Kennedy both of Kingston, Cheryl Reynolds of Mt. Marion, a brother, James P. D’Ippolito of Bayonne, NJ and his companion, Leonie Neumann of Woodstock. Four grandchildren also survive.
A brother, Joseph D’Ippolito died previously.
Reposing at the Simpson-Gaus Funeral Home, 411 Albany Ave., on Thursday from 2 – 4 and 6 - 9 pm. Funeral services will be conducted at the funeral home on Friday at 12:00 noon. Pastor Richard Rockwood will officiate. Burial will be in Bushkill Cemetery in the spring.
