Ruth May Fickus

Ruth May Fickus of Longyear Road, Shokan died Saturday, April 10, 2010. She was 79. She was born and raised in Bangor, Maine, a daughter of the late Henry Joseph and Alice A. Randall Lizzotte. Her first husband George E. Perkins died February 23, 1991. Her second husband Thomas P. Fickus died May 22, 2000. Twelve brothers and sisters died previously. Surviving are three daughters Judy Greenleaf and her husband Ben of Searsport, Maine; Debbie Holt and her husband Mike of Dolton, GA and Brenda Page and her husband Don of Searsport, Maine; one son George Perkins and his wife Mary Jane of Clarksville, TN; three step daughters Julie Brown and her husband Gary of Fredericksburg, VA, Patricia Rucki of Woodstock and Kimberly Fickus of Shokan; one step son Kenneth Fickus and his wife Roberta of Jefferson; one brother Louis Lizzotte of Bangor, Maine; six grandchildren Jamie, Stephen "Scotty" and Georgie Perkins, Jerimi Nuckolls, Katie Hardin, Erik Arvey; three step grandchildren Kenneth and Lisa Graham and Robert Mackey; many nieces and nephews. Reposing at the Simpson - Gaus Funeral Home, 411 Albany Ave. on Tuesday from 10:30 a.m. - 12:00. At 12:00 at Funeral Service will be conducted at the funeral home.
