Ruth Myra Guido, 87, of Maiden Lane, died June 11, 2013 at Ferncliff Nursing Home.
Born in Kingston, she was a daughter of the late Charles & Anita Schlip Senor. A lifelong area resident, she graduated from Kingston High School and the NY School of Interior Design in New York City. A member of the Ulster County Board of Realtors and Multiple Listings since 1975, Ruth owned and operated Ruth M. Guido Realty in Kingston. A parishioner of St. Joseph's Church, Kingston, she was a member the Benedictine Hospital Women's Auxiliary, where she was a former 1st VP and Secretary of fundraisers and committees, Friends of Historic Kingston, St. Joseph's Altar-Rosary Society, former member of the R.S.V.P. and of AARP.
Ruth is survived by three sons, Vincent Guido, Jr and his wife Patricia of the Town of Ulster, David M. Guido of West Hurley and Mark L. Guido and his wife Anna Marie of Albany, four grandchildren, Vincent III, Dannielle, Matthew and Mark Robert Guido. One great granddaughter, Juliana, one great grandson, Joseph and many nieces and nephews also survive.
In addition to her parents, Ruth was predeceased by her brothers, Jacob, Charles, Werner, George and Joseph Senor.
Reposing at the Simpson-Gaus Funeral Home, 411 Albany Ave, on Sunday, June 16, 2013 from 3-7 PM.
The funeral procession will form on Monday from the funeral home at 9:00 AM.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 AM at St. Joseph's Church.
Interment will follow in St. Peters Cemetery.
