Russell F. Mottsey of Berme Road, High Falls died Saturday, April 2, 2011 at Benedictine Hospital after a 2 year battle with cancer. He was 53. Russell was born in East Kingston, son of Russell R. Mottsey of East Kingston and the late Mary Elizabeth (Sagendorf) Mottsey. He graduated from Kingston High School, class of 1976. He married Karen Miller on November 25, 1981. Russell was the owner of R. F. Mottsey Painting and Contracting, which he operated in Kingston since 1976. Beloved husband of Karen (Miller) Mottsey, loving father of Caitlin of Williamsburg, VA, Russell Jr., and Nicholas, both at home, brother of Michael Anthony Mottsey and brother-in-law of Lynne Mottsey of New Windsor, SC, maternal grandson of Betty Sagendorf of Kingston, nephew of Keith and Pat Jones of Kingston and Jennie Lewis of East Kingston, son-in-law of Karen Miller of Kingston, brother-in-law of Kenny, Herbert, George, Ricky, and Timothy Miller all of Kingston, Mitchell Miller of Bloomington, Vincent Miller of Port Ewen, Christopher Miller of Walkill, Neva Longendyke and Debbie Carpino of Kingston, and Linda Miller of Scotsdale, PA, Uncle to 28 neices and nephews and great uncle to two neices and two nephews. Dear friend of Martie and Carl Truax of Mayfield, NY. Reposing at the Simpson-Gaus Funeral Home, 411 Albany Avenue, on Monday from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. The funeral procession will form on Tuesday at 9:00 a.m. from the funeral home. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Colman's Church at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Memorial Sloan Kettering, 1275 York Avenue, New York, NY 10065.
