Roswitha Grett completed her earthly experience on August 17. Her memorable journey started in Germany on March 2, 1929. With love and courage, she and her beloved husband (predeceased Nov 11, 2005) Gerhard Grett in 1953 moved to the United States and settled in Queens, NY.
Together they forged a dynamic loving relationship and worked diligently, ethically, and with great integrity to achieve their goal of purchasing and developing a motel called Lazy Meadow. With an unstoppable and caring nature, for twenty years they provided a beautifully manicured setting in Mt. Tremper, NY. Through their loving personalities and dedication to meticulous caretaking, Lazy Meadow became a retreat for many.
Roswitha was a woman with an amazing and caring heart. Family and friends will miss her joyful nature, loving heart, delicious meals, and most of all her concern for their well being.
Roswitha was the beloved mother to May Grett-Spina and her husband Louis R. Spina. Oma to Jon-Paul Grett and his wife Iris Grett.
