Rose M. Janasiewicz, 94, a lifelong Kingston resident, passed peacefully Wednesday morning, November 19, 2014 at Health Alliance Hospital, Broadway Campus. She was born June 3, 1920 in Kingston, the daughter of the late Frank and Mary DeCicco.
She was the wife of the late Carl C. Janasiewicz, he died on December 7, 2007.
Rose was a faithful parishioner of Immaculate Conception RC Church, she enjoyed playing bingo and spending time with her family. For many years she had been employed by Barclay Knitwear
She is survived by three sons, Carl Janasiewicz and his wife Kathie of St. Remy, Francis Janasiewicz and his wife Cheryl of Raleigh, NC and Joseph Janasiewicz and his wife Joyce of Hurley, 9 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, a sister Louise Kahlstorf of Kingston. She was predeceased by her siblings, Michael, John and James DeCicco, Jospehine Tatarzewski, Frances Hargrove and Emma Mayhon
The family wishes to express their gratitude to the staff of Ten Broeck Commons for the wonderful care given to their mother.
Entrusted to the care of Eric Keyser, Keyser Funeral & Cremation Service, 326 Albany Avenue, Kingston. The family will receive their friends on Sunday from 1 - 5 pm. Members of the Immaculate Conception Rosary Society will gather at 2 pm to recite the rosary.
The procession will form on Monday at 9 am. At 10 am A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Immaculate Conception R.C. Church. Burial in Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Memorial donations may be directed to Ten Broeck Commons, 1 Commons Drive, Lake Katrine, NY 12449 or Immaculate Conception R.C Church, 467 Delaware Avenue, Kingston, NY 12401.
