Rose Marie Fuoco, 84, of Kingston, died Friday, June 30, 2017 at HealthAlliance Hospital Broadway Campus.
Born in Kingston, she was a daughter of the late Charles & Elizabeth Dutcher Martini. Rose was best known for her complete love and dedication to her family and her role as wife, mother and grandmother. Her first role was that of wife to Louis Fuoco. They were blessed with 60 years of marriage and were best friends throughout. She worked at Montgomery Wards in her younger years, but found the most satisfaction and her best job was that of housewife and mother. She loved having big family parties and hosting many events. Rose especially loved celebrating the 4th of July. Her pride and joy were her two sons, Louis and Brian. She loved having her two boys and all their friends coming to the house when they were younger and feeding them and making sure they had whatever they needed. Then as the boys grew up and started families, her role shifted very seamlessly into doting grandmother, always cherishing her time with the 6 grandchildren. The grandchildren always felt the love from her and Grandpa and knew they were there for them for anything. They always made their time with the grandkids very special. The family is very blessed with many memories that they will cherish forever.
Rose is survived by her husband of 60 years, Louis F. Fuoco of Kingston, whom she married on July 22, 1956, two sons, Dr. Louis M. Fuoco and his wife Cynthia of Kingston, Brian J. Fuoco and his wife Michelle of Kingston, two siblings, Helen Martini Rohrback of Cathedral City, CA, Candice C. Belles and her husband, Joseph Belles of Kingston, six grandchildren, Noelle L. Fuoco and her husband Mark Miller, Chantelle J., Gabrielle H., Saverio L., Melanie J. and Alex J. Fuoco, and one great grandchild Nicholas Miller. Many nieces and nephews also survive.
