Rose M. Amplo of Seven Greens, Lawrenceville St., Town of Ulster, died Friday, October 2, 2009 at her home. She was 93.
She was born in Manhattan on October 15, 1915 a daughter of the late Francesco and Angela Palliseno Ciminiello.
For many years Mrs. Amplo worked as a dress maker in Ft. Lee, NJ. She retired in 1979 and moved to Town of Ulster. Mrs. Amplo was a parishioner of St. Catherine Laboure Church and involved in the Seven Greens Seniors.
Rose was committed to her family and enjoyed sewing for her community.
Her husband Frank Amplo died September 4, 1994. One brother Emanuel Ciminiello died previously.
Surviving are one son Dr. Joseph E. Amplo and his wife Claudia Kuhn of Woodstock; two granddaughters Jessica Amplo - Atkinson and Jenna Amplo; one great granddaughter Olivia Atkinson; one sister Maria of Italy, many nieces and nephews.
Reposing at the Simpson - Gaus Funeral Home, 411 Albany Ave. on Monday from 4:00 - 7:30 p.m. The funeral procession will form on Tuesday at 9:15 a.m. from the funeral home. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Catherine Laboure Church at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be in Montrepose Cemetery, followed by a gathering at the Seven Greens "All Purpose Room" 120 Lawrenceville St., Town of Ulster.
