Rose M. Altomari

Rose M. Altomari of East Chester Street, Kingston died Friday afternoon, April 8, 2005. She was 82. She was born in New York City on September 4, 1922. Formerly of Haverstraw, she was active at her parish, St. Peter's Church. For many years Rose worked as a seamstress in the Kingston garment industry. Rose married Roscoe 'Rocky' Altomari on May 7, 1955 and then moved to Kingston. Rose was an active parishioner at St. Mary's Church, Kingston. Surviving in addition to her husband of 49 years are five brothers Louis Toscano of Congers, Donald Toscano of Stony Point, Anthony Toscano of Bergenfield, NJ and Dominic Toscano of Haverstraw and Angelo Toscano of Ocala, FL; one sister Mary 'Matty' Zugibe; many nieces and nephews. Three brothers, John, Charles and Michael Toscano all died previously. Reposing at Simpson - Gaus Funeral Home, 411 Albany Ave. on Sunday from 2:00 - 6:00 PM. The funeral procession will form on Monday at 9:15 AM from the funeral home. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Mary's Church at 10:00 AM. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.
