Ronald Thomas Curran, 69, of Kingston, passed away Thursday, November 6, 2014 at HealthAlliance Hospital, Broadway Campus in Kingston. He was born March 1, 1945 in Ticonderoga, NY to the late Thomas and Margaret (Bennett) Curran.
He was a graduate of Kingston High School Class of 1963 and later graduated from Ulster County Community College. He received his Paralegal Certificate from Marist College. Ron served in the US Navy during the Vietnam War. He later worked as a Network Technician for IBM for over thirty years. After retiring from IBM, Ron worked at Ulster County Community Action and FAMILY of Woodstock.
He is survived by his wife, Helen Curran of Kingston, his children, Scott (Emily) Curran of High Falls, Kerri DaSilva of Rosendale, his step children, Rob Tregnaghi of Utah, Kathy (Tim) Scheld of New Jersey, his grandchildren, Shane, Jamilyn, Sierra, Kamryn, Emily, Paige, Thómas, his step grandchildren, Tucker, Marley, Lauren, his sister, Linda (Glenn) Chapman, as well as many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his previous wife, Constance Curran and his son, Michael Curran.
Entrusted to the care of Luke Keyser of A. Carr & Son Funeral Home, 65 Lucas Ave, Kingston. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday November 10th at Immaculate Conception R.C. Church, 467 Delaware Ave., Kingston, NY 12401 at 10am. Burial will follow in Hurley Cemetery, Zandhoek Rd, Hurley, NY.
