Robert William Russell, Jr., 70 of Rhinebeck, formerly of Kingston, died Sunday, April 5, 2020 at ArchCare at Ferncliff Nursing Home and Rehabilitation Center.
Born in Catskill, he was a son of the late Robert William Russell SR. & Martha (Ivery) Lowe.
Robert worked for the Ulster County public works for many years from which he retired. He went to Columbia Greene College for art he loved sitting outside drawing or just collecting things and making art work out of it he used to say, another man’s trash is someone’s treasures. He loved being around family and most of all he loved having family gathering.
Robert is survived by his three children, Tina Barrett and her husband, Devon of Kingston, Claretta Russell of Kingston and Noel Clemmons of Baltimore, MD, seven siblings, Mami Tate Shivers, Valerie Lowe and her wife Joanne Velsor, Stephanie Lowe Beverly, Vanessa Lowe, Latonja Lowe, Herbert Lowe and Aaron Lowe. One adopted brother Freeman Lowe, Three adopted sisters Debbie Lowe, Yolonda Lowe and Cartina Lowe. And a foster sister Rose Thigpen Four grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews also survive.
In addition to his parents, Robert was predeceased by six siblings.
Funeral Service and Interment will be held privately.
