Robert Park Kennedy passed away December 7, 2021, at 98 years of age. He was a resident of North Myrtle Beach, SC, but previously resided in Kingston, NY.
Robert leaves behind his beloved wife of 52 years, Jane (Locke) Kennedy. He was predeceased by his father, Robert Park, Sr., his mother, Mae (Rennie), and his two sisters, Helen Kennedy, and Doris Strubel.
Robert served in WWII as a member of the United States Army. He worked for Electrol/Hucktrol in Kingston, NY before relocating to Ozone Industries in Ozone Park, NY.
For over 50 years, he was a member of Fair Street Reformed Church in Kingston, NY where he served as an elder during a portion of that time.
Bob (as he was known) was an avid reader, a military history buff, and enjoyed attending classic car shows.
He is best remembered for his kind and gracious countenance, his great sense of humor and his help to the elderly in their times of need.
He will be sorely missed by those who knew him well.
Bob will be reposing at the Simpson-Hammerl Funeral Home, 411 Albany Ave on Thursday, December 16 ,2021 from 11AM-1 PM. The funeral service will take place at the funeral home with Pastor Kendra VanHouten officiating.
Entombment with military honors by the Joyce-Schirick post 1386 VFW will follow at the Wiltwyck Community Mausoleum.
