Robert P Cunningham

Robert P. Cunningham, 72, of Kingston, NY, died unexpectedly on January 3, 2019 at his residence. He was born March 17, 1946, in Kingston, the son of the late Edward Walter and Julie Brophy Cunningham.

Bob received his Associate’s Degree from Ulster County Community College and his Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees from SUNY Buffalo. He was employed as a Social Studies teacher at Kingston High School and was a teacher at Ulster County BOCES and also taught at the Anderson School in Staatsburg, NY. He was a member of the Ancient Order of Hibernians. He loved traveling and was an avid photographer.

He is survived by his brother, Gerard “Jerry” Cunningham and his wife, Diane of Fair Lawn, NJ and his sister, Mary Haggerty and her husband, Richard, of San Jose, CA; his nieces and nephews, Michael Haggerty, David Haggerty, Nicole Goodwin, Kristen Connolly and Kelly Cunningham. He was predeceased by two brothers, Edward W. Cunningham, Jr. and James Cunningham.

A Committal Service will be held at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Kingston, NY at a later date.
